AN organisation hailed by a government minister as a perfect example of the Big Society in action is facing a major funding difficulty because of red tape.

Community minister Eric Pickles has announced new fund to help Councils go back to weekly collections.

A GOVERNMENT fund of £250m will not be enough to restore weekly bin collections, the leader of the North-East’s biggest council has said.
