Stomping for charity

NORTHALLERTON shoppers were treated to jazz played by The Swale Valley Stompers for a very good cause.
The band once again helped with the Macmillan Cancer Support annual flag day, playing in Barker’s Arcade.
The sun shone and, backed by a devoted band of volunteers, the Stompers helped raise £1,327 for this organisation.
“The Northallerton fundraising committee would like to express their thanks to the band, our collectors and the public for their overwhelming generosity,” said secretary Annie Rothenberger.
